After an intensive ICT Education within the Belgian Air Force, I was ready to go to market and started my career as a Junior System Engineer at Remmicom. They create and sell software for Municipalities. I was responsible for the integration and implementation of systems and their software.
Because I always have had an affinity with business, I wanted to learn more on how businesses work, so I decided to quit a company that works solely for Governmental sector. So I started at SDP in St-Niklaas. Again a Software company that creates software for the retail industry in the Small to Mid-sized sectors (5 - 150 headcount). They build ERP, POS, CRM, WMS and Accounting software especially for the smaller retail market. I was responsible again for the complete end to end integration of networks, systems and the SDP software.
After working a few years for retailers as a consultant, I wanted to become part of this retail industry. Again, to learn more from the inside out on how a retail business work and why they take certain decisions. So I started as Group ICT Infrastructure Manager at A.S.Adventure Group. I became responsible for all the ICT activities within this group (A.S.Adventure in Belgium, Cotswold Outdoor in UK and Bever in the Netherlands).
This function gave me a lot of insights, knowledge and information on how a retail business with a 'Customer Intimacy Operating Model' works, operates and functions and how the decision-making process cycles in this Industry.
With a strong affinity towards business and very strong digital and marketing knowledge I became the WEB Manager for Europe for AS Adventure. E-commerce was becoming a more and more popular business by then and AS Adventure needed someone with both business and process skills as well as digital skills. I brought the AS Adventure concept through E-commerce to the European market and helped to grow the profitability and revenue streams for the E-commerce activities.
In 2013 I decided to start my own consultancy company and so E-MRF was born. Since then I have been on a project for ZEB to integrate Omnichannel in their retail chain of 60 stores.
Now, in 2016 I want to help businesses grow even more and faster, but on a more strategic level. In order to do so, I had to follow some major courses, which I did:
I followed the course of Exponential Organizations from Salim Ismail, who is a serial entrepreneur, sought after-speaker and author of the book Exponential Organizations.
This course gives me the ability to help your business grow at least then times faster, better and cheaper than other companies can do. The strong methodology behind this can do this in a 10 week period!!! I officially hold the title: ExO Consultant and I am part of this Worldwide limited group of only 50 people...
I also followed a course on Strategy. This course has given me a deep knowledge and understanding on how to implement a winning strategy (instead of a mediocre strategy) in 10 easy steps. We look at your Historical Performance, Industry Attractiveness and competitive Advantage and mix those with your Offering, Customer Segments, Value Proposition and Operating Model. These parameters will be combined and aligned with your Mission and Vision and the output is an implementation list of your winning strategy!
The combination of my strong process-minded and digital background and business knowledge can help your company to achieve a new level of maturity and it will definitely help your company win in your industry.
